Outback Queensland floods again.

An overnight deluge has again fallen on parts of outback Queensland, bringing no reprieve for already flooded regions.

Widespread flooding continues across the north and central west parts of the state, after heavy overnight storms fell between Richmond and Hughenden, north of Julia Creek, and further south in Winton.

There is no official total for livestock losses yet, but McKinlay Shire Mayor Janene Fegan said some graziers in the region expected to have lost half of their cattle.

Senior meteorologist Harry Clark said there was concern for coastal areas in the state's north. "Any further heavy falls on the north Queensland coastline in the next 24 hours could increase the risk of flash flooding and riverine flooding for Cairns through to Proserpine," he said.
