Its raining and flooding in South West Queensland. Small towns and roads have been cut off. There are fears cattle and sheep will die from the cold and wet.
One grazier has had more than 350mm of rain in the past 48 hours. Grazier Pat Murray said he was worried hundreds of thousands of hectares in the region could become flooded.
"I would be guessing that Eromanga is heading for the biggest flood I've seen in my life," he said.
The BOM has forecast more intense weather in the coming days. A severe weather warning for heavy rainfall and flash flooding for these districts:
* Central West, |
* Northern Goldfields, |
* Upper Flinders, |
* Maranoa, |
* Warrego. |
